Andhra Pradesh Government Whip and Nandigama MLA Tangirala Sowmya has called upon the alliance cadre to fully prepare for the upcoming local body elections starting now. With the elections approaching, she advised leaders and activists to work in coordination within every ward and move closer to the people. On Wednesday, MLA Sowmya held a meeting with coordination committee members at her office in Kakani Nagar, Nandigama town. The meeting involved extensive discussions on the action plan for the upcoming Nandigama municipal elections, ward-level coordination, the resolution of public issues, and strategies to take government welfare schemes to the people.
Direct Connection with the People in Every Ward
The MLA emphasized that local body elections should not be viewed merely as a political process but as a matter linked to people’s needs and local development. She stated that leaders should remain accessible to the public in every ward, understand their issues, and strive to resolve them to the best of their ability.
She directed leaders and activists to work at the grassroots level to ensure that government welfare schemes and development programs reach every eligible family. She urged them to create awareness among the public about government schemes and to assist eligible individuals in availing the benefits. **Alliance Strength Lies in Coordination**
MLA Sowmya emphasized that leaders and cadres of the alliance parties must move forward through mutual cooperation. She advised them to prioritize collective interests over personal opinions and to further strengthen coordination within every ward.
“Elections should not be viewed from a personal perspective. Everyone must work with the primary goals of resolving public issues, developing the region, and maintaining alliance coordination,” the MLA stated.
**Raising Awareness Among Farmers About Weather Alerts**
Meanwhile, the MLA urged farmers to remain vigilant given the potential for weather changes caused by the El Niño phenomenon. She directed local leaders to work in coordination to ensure farmers receive advance information, agricultural advice, and government assistance to mitigate the impact of weather changes on the agricultural sector.
She advised representatives of farmers’ associations and local leaders to stay constantly accessible to farmers, disseminate necessary information, and stand by them regardless of the circumstances.
**Focus on Public Welfare, Farmer Support, and Development**
MLA Sowmya stated that special attention must be paid to resolving public issues, ensuring farmer welfare, fostering local development, and effectively implementing welfare schemes in Nandigama.
She advised alliance cadres to enhance coordination at the ward level in preparation for local elections and to remain constantly engaged with the public to understand their needs. MLA Tangirala Sowmya called for moving forward with the goal of working collectively for the development of Nandigama—understanding people’s issues, striving for their resolution, and standing by the farmers.
